Fedor Rudin (28) is deze week ‘Violin Channel Artist of the Week’. Fedor is concertmeester van de Weense Staat Opera en Filharmonie en geeft op 2 april een concert in Diskmuide tijdens het Arte Amanti Festival.
De 28-jarige in Rusland geboren, Franse violist Fedor Rudin krijgt internationale erkenning als een uitzonderlijke muzikant die wordt geprezen om zijn “briljante vertoon van kunstenaarschap op de viool”
Fedor is afgestudeerd aan de Salzburg Mozarteum University en de Keulse High School of Music, waar hij studeerde bij Pierre Amoyal en Zakhar Bron, en de huidige postdoctorale student van Boris Kuschnir aan de Graz University of Music and Performing Arts, Fedor is een voormalig hoofdprijswinnaar bij de internationale vioolwedstrijden van Paganini, Enescu en Marteau.
Zijn recente debuten omvatten solo-optredens met het Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Baltic Neopolis Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra en Deutsches Kammerorchester.
In februari 2020 werd Fedor aangesteld als de nieuwe concertmeester van de Weense Staatsopera en de Wiener Philharmoniker.
Hij speelt momenteel op de 1694 “ex-Benecke” Stradivari, in bruikleen van de Oostenrijkse Nationale Bank. Fedor en zijn prachtige instrument zullen op 2 april te beluisteren zijn op het Arte Amanti Festival.

28-year-old Russian-born, French violinist, Fedor Rudin, is gaining international recognition as an exceptional musician praised for his “brilliant display of artistry on the violin”
A graduate of the Salzburg Mozarteum University and the Cologne High School of Music, where he studied with Pierre Amoyal and Zakhar Bron, and current postgraduate student of Boris Kuschnir at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts, Fedor is a former major prize winner at the Paganini, Enescu and Marteau International Violin Competitions.
His recent debuts include solo performances with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Baltic Neopolis Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Deutsches Kammerorchester.
In February of last year, Fedor was appointed as the new Concertmaster of the Vienna State Opera & Vienna Philharmonic.
He currently performs on the 1694 “ex-Benecke” Stradivari, on generous loan from the Austrian National Bank.
