Elen Shahinans is een Armeens-Belgische violiste, geboren in 2005.
Vanaf de leeftijd van vijf begon ze viool te spelen en in 2013 won ze twee internationale vioolconcoursen, met name de ‘Renaissance International Competition of young violinists’ in het Armeense Yerevan en de ‘Flame International Concours for young violinists’ in Parijs.
Als ambitieuze studente won Elen Shahinans tal van internationale concoursen. Op de ‘Grumiaux Competitie voor jonge violisten’ in Namen kreeg ze in 2016 de tweede prijs. Een jaar later ontving ze de tweede prijs op de ‘Young Talent Music Competition’ in Antwerpen.
In 2018 won Elen de ‘Breughel muziekprijs’ in Brussel. In hetzelfde jaar kreeg ze bij ‘Inter Cordes Concours Internationale’ de tweede prijs en de speciale prijs ‘Jeune Espoir’ in Parijs. Ze werd finaliste van de ‘Andrea Postacchini Competitie’ in het Italiaanse Fermo in 2019.
Toen ze tien was nam Elen met succes deel aan het ‘Gerpina Music Festival van klassieke muziek’ en kreeg ze de kans om met Piacevole Chamber Orchestra te spelen onder leiding van de Belg Luc Dewez. Later volgde een optreden met Chamber Orchestra of Archi Arrigoni onder leiding van Goancarlo Guarino in Italië.
Tegelijkertijd wordt Elen Shahinans als jong talent uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan tal van concerten en internationale festivals, als het ‘Festival International de Musique Max Van Der Linden’ in Beauvechain, ‘Festival International Rivage Musical’ in Saint Cast in Frankrijk, het ’68e Menton Music Festival’ aan de Cote d’Azur. Ze was diverse keren te horen op het ‘Internationaal Kamermuziekfestival Arte Amanti’.
Elen volgde masterclasses bij professoren Zakhar Bron, Boris Kushnir, Pavel Vernikov en Svetlana Makarova.
In 2020 werd Elen Shahinans op 15-jarige leeftijd als jong talent studente aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel in de klas van Tatiana Samouil.
Elen kreeg in 2021 een speciale uitnodiging om te spelen en een audio-opname te maken in het Europees Parlement.
Elen Shahinans is an Armenian-Belgian violinist, was born in 2005. From the age of 5 she started to play the violin and after two years, in 2013, Elen Shahinans became 1st prize winner of two international violin competitions: “Renaissance International Competition of young violinists” (Yerevan, Armenia) and “Flame International Concours for young violinists” (Paris, France). In 2015 Elen began to study in the class of the famous Russian-Belgian violinist Prof. Tatiana Samouil. Being a progressive student, Elen won numerous international competitions: 2nd Prize at Grumiaux Competition for young violinists (Namur, Belgium, 2016); 2nd Prize at Young Talent Music Competition (Antwerp, Belgium, 2017); 1st Prize at Concours de musique Breughel (Brussels, Belgium, 2018); 2nd Prize and Special Prize “Jeune Espoir” at Inter Cordes Concours International (Paris, France, 2018) and Finalist at the Andrea Postacchini Competition (Fermo, Italy, 2019).
At the age of 10, Elen successfully participated in the Gerpina Music Festival and had the opportunity to play with Piacevole Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Luc Dewez and the Chamber Orchestra of Archi Arrigoni under the direction of Goancarlo Guarino. Simultaneously Elen Shahinans as a young talent had invitations to participate in numerous concerts, international festivals and masterclasses with world famous professors: Festival international de Musique Max Van Der Linden (Beauvechain, Belgium, 2016, 2019); Festival International Rivage Musical (Sant Cast, France, 2017, 2019); 68th Menton Music Festival (France, 2017); international chamber music festival “Arte Amanti” (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022). Masterclasses with legendary professors: Zakhar Bron, (Menton, France, 2017); Boris Kushnir (Schlossakademie, Zschepplin, Germany, 2019); Pavel Vernikov (Kronberg Academy, Germany, 2021). Since 2020 Elen Shahinans is a student at the Brussels Royal Conservatory in the class of Tatiana Samouil. In 2021 Elen had special invitation to play and have an audio recording in the European Parliament.
