De Japanse violiste Airi Suzuki kreeg internationale erkenning na haar debuut in Suntory Hall in Tokio. Ze verzamelde talloze competitieprijzen. Ze behaalde de tweede prijs op de International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznan en won de International Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hannover en de Valsesia Musica Competition in Italië.
Als soliste treedt Airi Suzuki op in gerenommeerde concertzalen zoals het Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Ze werkt regelmatig samen met vooraanstaande Japanse en Europese orkesten waaronder de NDR Radiophilharmonie, het Göttinger Symphony Orchestra en het Munich Chamber Orchestra.
Ze begon haar studie aan het Toho Gakuen College in Tokio onder Koichiro Harada en zette haar opleiding voort onder Krzysztof Węgrzyn aan de Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover. Naast haar solocarrière wijdt ze zich aan kamermuziek en nam ze een album op met werken van Beethoven, Stravinsky en Richard Strauss.
Vanaf 2017 deed Airi Suzuki orkestrale ervaring op via een tijdelijk contract als Associate Concertmaster van de NDR Radiophilharmonie. Hierna werd ze een vast lid werd van de eerste vioolsectie. Sinds 2024 is ze Associate Concertmaster van het Munich Radio Orchestra.
The Japanese violinist Airi Suzuki gained international recognition following her debut at Suntory Hall in Tokyo and numerous competition prizes. She won the Second Prize at the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznan and was a prizewinner at the International Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hanover as well as the Valsesia Musica Competition in Italy.
As a soloist, Airi Suzuki performs in renowned concert halls such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and regularly collaborates with prominent Japanese and European orchestras, including the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, and the Munich Chamber Orchestra.
She began her studies at the Toho Gakuen College in Tokyo under Koichiro Harada and continued her education under Krzysztof Węgrzyn at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover. Alongside her solo career, she is dedicated to chamber music and has recorded an album featuring works by Beethoven, Stravinsky, and Richard Strauss.
From 2017, Airi Suzuki gained orchestral experience during a temporary contract as the Associate Concertmaster of the NDR Radiophilharmonie, later becoming a permanent member of the first violin section. Since 2024, she serves as the Associate Concertmaster of the Munich Radio Orchestra.
