Cellist Aleksey Shadrin werd geboren in een familie van musici in Oekraïne. Hij maakte deel uit van het Kronberg Academy Master Program. Aleksey won de eerste prijs van de ‘4e M. Lysenko International Music Competition’ in 2012. In 2018 won hij de derde prijs op de ‘Prague Spring Competition’ en de vierde prijs op de ‘Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd’ in 2022.
In 2005 was Aleksey Shadrin finalist in de ‘David Popper International Competition’ in Hongarije en in 2008 won hij de tweede prijs op ‘The International Competition’ in Minsk. Na zijn concourssuccessen trad hij op in grote concertzalen van Oekraïne, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Zuid-Korea, China, Vietnam, Nederland, Singapore en België.
Aleksey Shadrin trad op als solist met orkesten als de National Philharmonic of Ukraine, de Opéra National de Montpellier, de Sudwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz en het Belgian National Orchestra.
In 2016 maakte hij zijn debuut bij de Berliner Philharmoniker. In 2017 trad hij op als solist met de NDR Radiophilharmonie met Andrew Manze in de Grosser Sendesaal in Hannover, en debuteerde hij op het ‘Hamburg Chamber Music Festival’.
Aleksey Shadrin behaalde zijn Bachelor en Master of Musical Arts aan de Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover bij professor Leonid Gorokhov en studeerde bij professor Frans Helmerson aan de Kronberg Academy.
Momenteel studeert hij bij Gary Hoffman aan de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth.
Cellist Aleksey Shadrin was born into a family of musicians in Ukraine. He was part of the Kronberg Academy Master Program. Aleksey won first prize at the 4th M. Lysenko International Music Competition in 2012. In 2018, he won third prize at the Prague Spring Competition and fourth prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2022.
In 2005, Aleksey Shadrin was a finalist in the David Popper International Competition in Hungary, and in 2008, he won second prize at The International Competition in Minsk. Following his competition successes, he performed in major concert halls in Ukraine, Germany, France, South Korea, China, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Belgium.
Aleksey Shadrin has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the Opéra National de Montpellier, the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, and the Belgian National Orchestra.
