De 28-jarige pianiste Annika Treutler wordt beschouwd als een van de meest veelbelovende jonge Duitse artiesten. Ze kreeg op vierjarige leeftijd haar eerste pianolessen van Almut Eckels en vanaf 2001 werd professor Renate Kretschmar-Fischer haar vaste instructeur.
Op 21-jarige leeftijd behaalde ze haar diploma met hoogste onderscheiding na studies bij professor Matthias Kirschnereit aan de Rostock Universiteit voor Muziek en Theater. Na het afronden van haar Master’s Degree aan de Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Median in Hannover, is Annika momenteel postdoctoraal student in de Solo Class van professor Bernd Goetzke. Daarnaast nam ze deel aan masterclasses onder leiding van Janina Fialkowska, Richard Goode en Elisabeth Leonskaja.
In december 2010 debuteerde Annika bij het Deutsche Sinfonieorchester Berlin in de grote zaal van de Berlin Philharmonie waarna ze optrad met verschillende orkesten zoals het Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, het Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, het Radio Symphony Orchestra Prague en anderen. Naast masterclasses met vooraanstaande musici als Ferenz Rados en Arie Vardi, trad ze ook op tijdens concerten van het Verbier Festival. Verder was ze ook te gast op verscheidene andere gerenommeerde festivals.
Annika deelde haar passie voor kamermuziek met prestigieuze gasten als Ramón Ortega Quero, Jens Peter Maintz, Ingeborg Danz en het Amaryllis Quartet op haar eigen festival „SommerKlang“ (2011-2013). Haar vaste kamermuziekpartners zijn onder meer Kit Armstrong, Suyoen Kim, Shirley Brill, Ramón Ortega Quero en Jens Peter Maintz.
Annika won talrijke prijzen op nationale en internationale competities. Zo ontving ze onder andere de 3e prijs op de Montreal International Music Competition: Piano in 2014, was ze halve finalist bij de ARD Internation Music Competition München, bereikte ze de halve finales van de Cleveland International Piano Competition en ontving ze zowel de 2e prijs (de 1e prijs werd niet uitgereikt) als de publieksprijs op het Concours Grieg in Oslo in 2009 en vele anderen.
In 2015 werd de nieuwste cd van Annika uitgebracht onder het label Syquali / Harmonia Mundi met werken van Mendelssohn. Haar debuut-cd met Fantasy Pieces and the Fantasie in C major van Robert Schumann werd in april 2013 uitgebracht onder het label GENUIN.
The 28-year-old pianist Annika Treutler is considered one of the most promising young German artists. She received her first piano lessons at the age of four from Almut Eckels. As of 2001 Professor Renate Kretschmar-Fischer became her regular instructor. At the age of 21 she gained highest marks for her diploma following studies under Professor Matthias Kirschnereit at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre. After completing her Master’s Degree at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Median Hannover she is currently a postgraduate student in the Solo Class of Professor Bernd Goetzke. To supplement her studies, Annika has partaken in Master Classes led by Janina Fialkowska, Richard Goode and Elisabeth Leonskaja.

Next to Master Classes with prominent musicians such as Ferenz Rados and Arie Vardi, she also performed at concerts of the Verbier Festival. Furthermore, she was also guest at other renowned festivals.
Annika has shared her passion for chamber music with prestigious guests, Ramón Ortega Quero, Jens Peter Maintz, Ingeborg Danz and the Amaryllis Quartet, at her own festival „SommerKlang“ (2011-2013). Her regular chamber music partners include Kit Armstrong, Suyoen Kim, Shirley Brill, Ramón Ortega Quero and Jens Peter Maintz, among others.
Annika Treutler has been honoured with numerous awards from national and international competitions, such as the 3rd Prize at the Montreal International Music Competition: Piano 2014, semifinalist at the ARD Internation Music Competition Munich, she reached the semifinals at the Cleveland International Piano Competition and received both the 2nd Prize (the 1st Prize was not awarded) as well as the Audience Prize at the Concours Grieg in Oslo in 2009 and many others.
2015 marked the release of Annika’s latest CD under the Syquali/Harmonia Mundi label with works by Mendelssohn. Her debut CD with Fantasy Pieces and the Fantasie in C major by Robert Schumann was released in April 2013 under the GENUIN label.
