Geboren op 7 maart 2006 als jongste van vijf ontdekt Arthur de piano op de schoot van zijn grote zus Charlotte. In september 2013 start Arthur dan ook enthousiast bij Elena Ivanova met pianolessen aan de Academie voor Podiumkunsten in Aalst en die volgt hij tot op vandaag. Voor groepsmusiceren volgt hij les bij Catharina Leijnse.
Toegewijd nam hij deel aan verschillende pianowedstrijden, de Steinway Competition, Breughelwedstrijd en de Cantabilewedstrijd. In mei 2022 organiseerde hij een Benefietconcert ten voordele van het Kinderkankerfonds in de feestzaal van het stadhuis van Aalst. In het Capitool Gent speelde hij op de Kinderkankerfonds Classics. Arthur kreeg ook de kans om voor publiek te spelen in C.C. De Werf, voor de jubileumviering van de Jezuïtencolleges in Laken, tijdens de huwelijksvieringen van broer Frank en zus Charlotte in de kerk van Moorsel en op talrijke huisconcerten, ook in kamermuziekverband met fluitist Wim Blontrock.
In juli 2022 en 2023 nam hij deel aan de pianostage van Jan Vermeulen en kreeg er les van onder anderen Jan Vermeulen, Veerle Peeters en Sylvia Thereza.
Arthur combineert piano met een druk sociaal leven. Hij loopt school in het SJC in Aalst 6de Grieks met 8 uur wiskunde. Hij houdt er enorm van om met vrienden af te spreken. Hij is een fervente scoutsman en neemt ten volle zijn engagement op.
Born on March 7, 2006, the youngest of five, Arthur discovered the piano while sitting on his big sister Charlotte’s lap. In September 2013, Arthur eagerly began piano lessons with Elena Ivanova at the Academy for Performing Arts in Aalst. For group music making, he takes lessons from Catharina Leijnse.
Dedicatedly, he has participated in various piano competitions such as the Steinway Competition, Breughel Competition, and the Cantabile Competition. In May 2022, he organized a benefit concert in aid of the Children’s Cancer Fund in the banquet hall of the Aalst town hall. He also performed at the Children’s Cancer Fund Classics in the Capitol in Ghent. Arthur has had the opportunity to play in front of audiences at C.C. De Werf, during the anniversary celebration of the Jesuit colleges in Laeken, at the wedding celebrations of his brother Frank and sister Charlotte in the church of Moorsel, and at numerous house concerts. Additionally, he has collaborated in chamber music performances with flutist Wim Blontrock.
In July 2022 and 2023, he participated in Jan Vermeulen’s piano internship and received lessons from Jan Vermeulen, Veerle Peeters, Sylvia Thereza, etc.
Arthur successfully juggles his piano pursuits with a busy social life, attending school at SJC in Aalst where he is in 6th Greek with 8 hours of mathematics. He thoroughly enjoys spending time with friends and is an enthusiastic scout, fully committed to his involvement in scouting activities.
