Artiom Shishkov werd in 1984 geboren in Minsk, Wit-Rusland. Hij studeerde vanaf zijn vijfde jaar bij Janna Kutchinskaja en maakte zijn debuut op 8-jarige leeftijd met de Belarus Staats Filharmonie. Van 1994 tot 2002 studeerde hij aan het Muziek College en later aan de Belarus State Academy of Music bij Eduard Kutchinsky. In 2010-2012 studeerde hij postgraduaat aan het Weense Conservatorium bij Dora Schwarzberg.
Artiom was laureaat van 15 internationale wedstrijden, waaronder: de Internationale Brahms Wedstrijd (Oostenrijk 2006, 2e prijs), de Koningin Elisabeth Wedstrijd (België 2012, 6e prijs), de Yankelevitch Internationale Viool Wedstrijd (Rusland 2013, 1e prijs), de Internationale Leopold Auer Wedstrijd (Rusland 2014, 1e prijs) en meerdere andere in Oostenrijk, Duitsland, Italië, Tsjechië, Polen, …. Hij behaalde vele beurzen en prijzen. Zo was hij onder andere laureaat van het Speciale Fonds van de President van de Republiek Belarus.
Artiom trad op in festivals als het Menuhin Gstaad Festival (Zwitserland), Klara Festival (België), Musica Mundi Festival (België), Festival d’Été Mosan (België), International Juri Bashmet Festival (Belarus), Arte Amanti Kamermuziek Festival (België), enzovoort.
Artiom trad op met orkesten als: l’Orchestre de Chambre Royal de Wallonie, het Nationaal Orkest van België, de Nationale Filharmonie van Rusland, het Moshou Kamerorkest, het Pools Nationaal Radio Symfonisch Orkest, en andere. Hij werkte onder andere met de dirigenten Eduard Grach, Michael Hofstetter, Vladimir Spivakov, Gilbert Varga en Agnieszka Duczmal. Artiom speelde samen met artiesten als Sviatoslav Moroz, Jérome Pernoo, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Andrey Baranov, Leonid Kerbel, Jérome Ducros, en andere.
Als groot kamermuziekvertolker is hij eerste viool in het “Lipkind Quartet” rond de wereldvermaarde cellist Gavriel Lipkind.
Artiom Shishkov treedt veel op als solist en als kamermuzikant en combineert zijn concertactiviteiten met lesgeven en houden van masterclasses.

He was a laureate of 15 international competitions, including: the International Brahms Competition (Austria 2006, 2nd prize), the Queen Elisabeth Competition (Belgium 2012, 6th prize), the Yankelevitch International Violin Competition (Russia 2013, 1st prize), the International Leopold Auer Competition (Russia 2014, 1st prize) and several others in Austria, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, …. He has been awarded many grants and prizes, among others he was a laureate of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
