Chistia stamt uit een muzikale familie en op 11-jarige leeftijd debuteerde ze als soliste met het Symfonisch Orkest van Lviv, Oekraïne. Ze wordt gewaardeerd en onderscheiden voor haar prestaties en wordt beloond voor haar parcours in Oekraïne met een presidentiële beurs. Ze vervolmaakte zich vervolgens in Frankrijk aan het CNSM van Parijs, ondersteund door de Fondation Nadia et Lili Boulanger, alsook aan het conservatorium van Lyon en van Milaan.
Christia is laureate van tal van internationale wedstrijden in Europa waaronder finaliste op de kamermuziekwedstrijd van het Koninklijk Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), en op de pianowedstrijd ‘Giovani Talenti – Pia Tebaldini’ sleepte ze de Speciale Prijs en de Eerste Prijs in de wacht, en ze won ook de internationale Yamaha-beurs.
Ze wordt geregeld uitgenodigd op diverse internationale festivals zoals La Roque d’Anthéron, Radio France en het Musée d’Orsay, Avignon, het Brussels Summer Festival, Festival du Vexin, etc…
Na een residentie van vier jaar aan de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth, een prestigieuze instelling voor artistiek hoger onderwijs, opgericht door koningin Elisabeth van België en gericht tot jonge talenten van over heel de wereld, bouwt Christia Hudziy haar carrière als soliste en kamermuzikante verder uit door op te treden in Frankrijk, België, Nederland, Polen, Oekraïne en Engeland. Ze heeft onlangs als soliste gespeeld met de filharmonische orkesten van Londen, België en Osaka. Ze is tevens pianiste en coach aan de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth, in de klas van Augustin Dumay, met wie ze geregeld speelt in kamermuziekverband.
Born into a family of musicians in Lviv, Ukraine, Christia Hudziy was predestined for an artistic career. At age 11 she made her debut as a soloist with the Lviv Symphony Orchestra. Her achievements led her to be distinguished and rewarded by the President of Ukraine. She then perfected her skills in France at the Conservatoire of Paris, supported by the Fondation Nadia et Lili Boulanger, and then at the Conservatoires of Lyons and Milan. Christia is a laureate of many international competitions in Europe, including the chamber music competition of the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) and the piano competition “Giovani Talenti Pia Tebaldini”, where she won both the First Prize and a Special Award. She also obtained an international Yamaha grant.
She is a regular guest at international festivals, among which La Roque d’Anthéron, Radio France and Musée d’Orsay, Avignon, Festival du Vexin, etc. After four years as artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, a prestigious school of music founded by Queen Elisabeth, destined for young talent from around the world,
Christia Hudziy is continuing her career as a soloist and chamber musician, performing in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, and England. She recently performed as a soloist with the philharmonic orchestras of London, Belgium and Osaka. She is also a pianist and coach at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in the class of Augustin Dumay, with whom she regularly performs in chamber music.
