Eline Vanderpijpen is in 2002 geboren en begon op vijfjarige leeftijd met vioollessen aan de Academie voor Podiumkunsten in Aalst. Ze volgde er ook piano en ensemble bij Catharina Leijnse. In juni 2014 ontving Eline de ‘prijs van de directeur’ van de academie.
Vanaf september 2016 is ze leerlinge viool bij Erik Sluys aan de muziekacademie van Anderlecht. Ze volgde sindsdien ook verschillende masterclasses bij Kristie Su, Yossif Ivanov, Philippe Graffin en Aya Muraki.
In 2015 was Eline soliste met het Oost-Vlaams Kamerorkest. Sinds 2017 speelt ze mee met het orkest Brussels Sinfonietta, ze was er meermaals soliste. Sinds 2021 maakt ze deel uit van de sectie eerste violen van het Gents Universitair Symfonisch Orkest (GUSO) en Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen (SOV) Young en in 2023 ook van Youth Orchestra Flanders (YOF). In 2022 was ze aangeduid als concertmeester van SOV en in 2023 van GUSO.
Eline was drie keer finaliste van de ‘Vlamo wedstrijd voor strijkinstrumenten’. Ze speelt ook graag kamermuziek. Zo speelt ze vaak in duo/trio met haar broer (piano) en/of zus (viool). Ze is al meermaals uitgenodigd als ‘jong talent’ door het ‘Arte Amanti Kamermuziekfestival’ en in het najaar 2019 door ‘Cantabile vzw’ voor een concert in de landcommanderij Alden Biesen.
Eline combineert haar muziekopleiding met studies Master Wiskunde aan de UGent.
Eline Vanderpijpen was born in 2002 and started taking violin lessons at the Academy of Performing Arts in Aalst at the age of five. She also studied piano and ensemble with Catharina Leijnse. In June 2014, Eline received the academy’s ‘director’s prize’. Since September 2016 she has been a violin student with Erik Sluys at the music academy of Anderlecht. Since then she has also followed several master classes with Kristie Su, Yossif Ivanov, Philippe Graffin and Aya Muraki.
In 2015, Eline was a soloist with the East Flemish Chamber Orchestra. Since 2017 she has been playing with the Brussels Sinfonietta orchestra, where she has been a soloist several times. Since 2021, she has been part of the first violin section of the Ghent University Symphonic Orchestra (GUSO) and Flanders Symphony Orchestra (SOV) Young, and in 2023 also of Youth Orchestra Flanders (YOF).
In 2022 she was appointed concertmaster of SOV and in 2023 of GUSO. Eline was a three-time finalist in the ‘Vlamo competition for string instruments’.
She also enjoys playing chamber music. She often plays in duo/trio with her brother (piano) and/or sister (violin). She has been invited several times as a ‘young talent’ by the ‘Arte Amanti chamber music festival’ and in the autumn of 2019 by ‘Cantabile vzw’ for a concert in the Grand Commandery Alden Biesen.
Eline combines her music education with Master of Mathematics studies at Ghent University.
