Emma Wills (1998°) is een veelbelovend, gepassioneerd en veelzijdig gitarist. Ze concerteert als soliste in binnen- en buitenland, in verschillende duo-ensembles, theater en met orkest.
In maart 2022, werd Emma gelanceerd door radiozender Klara bij ‘De Twintigers’, als veelbelovende jonge muzikante, waarin ze te zien is in een reeks interviews (Music Matters, Espresso) en concerten in de befaamde Studio Toots VRT. Sinds juni 2021 is Emma Ambassadrice aan het Antwerpse Museum Vleeshuis en is ze zeer actief bezig met historische instrumenten en Oude Muziek. Samen met pianist Thomas Boodts vormt ze Duo
Marotel, een romantisch gitaar-piano duo met uitvoeringen op historische instrumenten uit de collectie van het Museum Vleeshuis. In mei 2022 werd Emma uitgenodigd door het Virago Symphonic Orchestra om het Concerto de Aranjuez (J.Rodrigo) te spelen in de befaamde concertzaal in Antwerpen, AMUZ. Samen met accordeonist Sebastian Enriques, vormt ze Duo Como sinds 2018. Naast deze projecten is Emma ook actief in het theater met haar muzikale vertelling waarvoor ze grootste onderscheiding kreeg, ‘Witte Vlinders’ en werkte ze samen met Belgische zangeres An Pierlé in ‘A.L.I.C.E.’, een productie van Muziektheater Transparant.
Emma voltooide haar Masterstudies ‘Master in Muziek Podiumkunsten – Klassieke gitaar’ in juni 2021 aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen ‘Met grote onderscheiding’, waar ze onder leiding van Roland Broux, Jan Sanen en Nico Couck werd opgeleid tot een professionele gitariste. Tijdens haar eerste Masterjaar werd Emma toegelaten als studente aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Schotland (Verenigd Koninkrijk) onder leiding van professoren Allan Neave, Matthew McAllister en Ian Watt.
Emma Wills (1998°) is a promising, passionate and versatile guitarist. She performs as a soloist at home and abroad, in various duo ensembles, theater and with orchestra.
In March 2022, Emma was launched by radio station Klara at ‘De Twintigers’, as a promising young musician, in which she can be seen in a series of interviews (Music Matters, Espresso) and concerts in the famous Studio Toots VRT. Since June 2021, Emma has been Ambassador to the Antwerp Museum Vleeshuis and is very active with historical instruments and Early Music. Together with pianist Thomas Boodts she forms Duo Marotel, a romantic guitar-piano duo with performances on historical instruments from the collection of the Museum Vleeshuis. In May 2022, Emma was invited by the Virago Symphonic Orchestra to play the Concerto
de Aranjuez (J.Rodrigo) in the famous concert hall in Antwerp, AMUZ. Together with accordionist Sebastian Enriques, she forms Duo Como since 2018. Besides these projects, Emma is also active in the theater with her musical narration for which she received the highest award, ‘White Butterflies’ and collaborated with Belgian singer An Pierlé in ‘A.L.I.C.E.’ , a production of Muziektheater Transparant.
Emma completed her Master’s studies ‘Master in Music Performing Arts – Classical Guitar’ in June 2021 at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp ‘With great distinction’, where she was trained as a professional guitarist under the guidance of Roland Broux, Jan Sanen and Nico Couck. During her first Masters year, Emma was accepted as a student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (UK) under Professors Allan Neave, Matthew McAllister and Ian Watt.
