De Italiaanse pianist Enrico Pace studeerde bij Franco Scala aan het Rossini Conservatorium in Pesaro waar hij tevens directie en compositie afrondde. Later vormde hij zich aan de Accademia Pianistica Incontri col Maestro in Imola. Jacques De Tiège was een gewaardeerde mentor. In 1989 won hij het ‘Utrecht International Franz Liszt Pianoconcours’.
Hij trad op met orkesten als het Concertgebouworkest, de Münchner Philharmoniker, de Bamberger Symphoniker, het BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, het Orkest van Santa Cecilia Rome, het Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, het Nederlands Radio Filharmonisch Orkest en het Filharmonisch Orkest, het Orkest van de Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, de Hungarian National Philharmonic, de Göteborg, London en Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, de Brussels Philharmonic, de Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg, de Rheinische Philharmonie, de Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, de Konzerthausorchester Berlin, de MDR-Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, het Warschau Philharmonisch Orkest, het RTE National Symphony Orchestra, het G. Verdi Orchestra Milan en de Filarmonica Toscanini Parma.
Enrico Pace trad op in het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, de Sala Verdi in Milaan en Teatro alla Scala in Rome en de Wigmore Hall in Londen, verder in Dublin, München, Salzburg, Praag en Zuid-Amerikaanse steden. Hij musiceerde op festivals als ‘La Roque-d’Anthéron’, ‘Verbier’, ‘Luzern’, ‘Rheingau’, ‘Sleeswijk-Holstein’ en ‘Husum’.
Met violisten als Leonidas Kavakos, Frank Peter Zimmermann, Akiko Suwanai en Liza Ferschtman werkt hij vaak samen evenals met cellist Sung-Won Yang.
Andere kamermuziekpartners zijn cellist Daniel Müller-Schott, klarinettist Sharon Kam, pianist Igor Roma en blazer Marie Luise Neunecker, evenals het Keller Quartet, het RTE Vanbrugh Quartet en het Quartetto Prometeo. Hij neemt regelmatig deel aan kamermuziekfestivals.
Met Kavakos en cellist Patrick Demenga nam hij de pianotrio’s van Mendelssohn voor Sony Classical op. Zijn opname van de complete Beethoven-sonates voor piano en viool met Kavakos werd uitgebracht door Decca Classics in 2013 en werd genomineerd voor een Grammy Award. In 2016 bracht Decca Classics een cd uit waarop het duo virtuoze toegiften uitvoert. Met Zimmermann nam hij de Busoni vioolsonate nr. 2 en de zes Sonates voor viool en piano van J.S. Bach voor Sony Klassiek op. In 2011 bracht het label Piano Classics zijn veelgeprezen solo-opname uit van de Années de pèlerinage van Franz Liszt.

With Kavakos and cellist Patrick Demenga he recorded Mendelssohn’s piano trios for Sony Classical. His recording of the complete Beethoven sonatas for piano and violin with Kavakos was released by Decca Classics in 2013 and was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2016, Decca Classics released a CD on which the duo performs virtuoso encores. With Zimmermann he recorded the Busoni violin sonata No. 2 and the six Sonatas for violin and piano by J.S. Bach for Sony Classical op. In 2011, the Piano Classics label released his critically acclaimed solo recording of Franz Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage.
