Felix Callot werd in 2011 in een muzikaal gezin geboren. Hij leerde cello spelen op vijfjarige leeftijd bij Marijke Gonissen. Daarna volgde hij les bij Claudine Steenackers. Vandaag musiceert Felix onder de vleugels van Justus Grimm en Steven Caeyers.
Felix is op jonge leeftijd al te horen op de concertpodia. Zo trad hij op in Flagey in 2021 voor het ‘Cello Festival’ van Musique 3. Als Jong Talent van Arte Amanti speelde hij op het Koninklijk Paleis ter gelegenheid van de ‘Koningin Mathilde Prijs’. In 2022 werd hij laureaat van de ‘Vlamo Virtuoso-wedstrijd’ met lof van de jury. Hij neemt deel aan orkeststages bij onder meer Brussels Sinfonietta. Samen met zijn broer en violist Jacob treedt hij regelmatig op en zijn vader Nicolas Callot is hun trouwe pianopartner.
Felix Callot was born in 2011 into a musical family. He learned to play the cello at the age of five with Marijke Gonissen. He then took lessons from Claudine Steenackers. Today Felix makes music under the wings of Justus Grimm and Steven Caeyers.
Felix can be heard on the concert stages at a young age. For example, he performed in Flagey in 2021 for the ‘Cello Festival’ of Musique 3. As a Young Talent of Arte Amanti, he played at the Royal Palace on the occasion of the ‘Koningin Mathilde Prize’. In 2022 he became laureate of the ‘Vlamo Virtuoso competition’ with praise from the jury. He participates in orchestral internships with, among others, the Brussels Sinfonietta. He performs regularly with his brother and violinist Jacob and his father Nicolas Callot is their faithful piano partner.
