Georgia Koumentakou werd in 2012 in België geboren als dochter van een Poolse moeder en een Griekse vader. Piepjong, pas drie en een half jaar, begon ze met viool spelen. In 2017 kreeg ze de kans om met Erik Sluys te werken in zijn talentklas.
Toen ze zes was speelde ze op door de Vlaamse Club Brussel georganiseerde concerten met werk van H. Wieniawski, F. Kreisler, Ch. De Berio en anderen. In 2020 musiceerde ze tijdens het Festival Klassiek Leeft Jong in Knokke en werd er door Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort begeleid.
In 2021, op slechts negenjarige leeftijd, behaalde Georgia haar eerste overwinning in de competitie Jonge Solisten te Leuven. Een jaar later, een maand na haar tiende verjaardag, maakte ze haar debuut in het Lemmeninstituut met het Concerto van F. B. Mendelssohn, samen met het Stringendo-orkest onder leiding van Pascale van Os.
In juli 2022 ontving ze de Grand Prix van de Music Academy Forte-wedstrijd in Brussel. In oktober won ze de eerste prijs en de Publieksprijs van de Crickboom Competitie.
In april 2023 viel Georgia op tijdens de finale van de Grumiaux Brussels Competitie. Slechts een maand later schitterde ze opnieuw tijdens de Jonge Solistencompetitie, met een fenomenale uitvoering van het concerto van M. Bruch.
Georgia gaf al twee belangrijke recitals, in de Koninklijke Bibliotheek en voor het Musicorum Festival in augustus 2023.
Ze volgde masterclasses bij Philippe Graffin, Tatiana Samouil, Aleksey Semenenko en, recent, Vaclav Hudecek.
Born in 2012 in Belgium to a Polish mother and Greek father, Georgia embarked on her musical journey at the tender age of 3 and a half. In 2017, her musical talents were nurtured in Erik Sluys’ talent class.
At just 6 years old, Georgia displayed her musical prowess by participating in concerts organized by the Flemish Club Brussel with works by H. Wieniawski, F. Kreisler, Ch. De Berio, and more. In 2020 she played at the Festival Klassiek Leeft Jong in Knokke accompanied by Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort.
In 2021, at 9 years of age, Georgia achieved her first competition victory at Jonge Solisten, Leuven. A year later, a month after her tenth birthday, she performed F. B. Mendelssohn’s Concerto E minor with the Stringendo orchestra under the baton of Pascale van Os. In 2022 she won the Grand Prix at the Music Academy Forte competition, the first prize and the Audience Prize at the Crickboom Competition.
In April 2023, Georgia played in the finals of the Grumiaux Brussels Competition, . Just a month later, she won 1st Prize at the Jonge Solisten competition with the M. Bruch’s concerto.
In 2022 she played two recitals, the first at the Royal Library. The second recital was an invitation to the Musicorum Festival in August 2023.
Georgia followed Master Classes with Philippe Graffin, Tatiana Samouil, Aleksey Semenenko, and, most recently, Vaclav Hudecek.
