Ilona Ingels, geboren te Brugge, is een hoboïste die haar muzikale scholing begon als 8-jarige aan het Stedelijk Conservatorium van Brugge. Zowel de opleiding hobo als althobo heeft ze succesvol afgerond bij leerkracht Jan Wauters, respectievelijk in 2015 en 2017. Ze vervolgde haar opleiding in september 2015 aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel bij docent Karel Schoofs.
Gedurende het academiejaar 2018-2019 heeft ze een Erasmusuitwisseling voltooid te Strasbourg aan de Haute École des Arts du Rhin bij Sébastien Giot en Christian Schmitt.
In juni 2020 behaalde ze haar masterdiploma hobo met verve.
Ilona heeft al in verscheidene orkesten gespeeld: Belgian National Orchestra, Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, JeugdOrkest Nederland, Nationaal Jeugd Orkest, Frascati Symphonic en andere. Dit in samenwerking met gerenommeerde dirigenten zoals onder meer Anthony Hermus, Gustavo Gimeno, Jurjen Hempel, Hugh Wolff, Dirk Brossé en dat in al even gerenommeerde internationale zalen.
Op vlak van kamermuziek deed ze al ervaring op in verschillende bezettingen: van duo’s tot zelfs nonetten!
Ook volgde ze al vele masterclasses en stages bij onder andere: Jacques Tys, Dimitri Mestdag, Karel Schoofs, Tim Boonen, Sylvain Cremers, Jeroen Soors en Pauline Oostenrijk.
Sinds januari 2016 vormen Lenny Bui-Vandeput en Ilona Ingels een vast hobo-piano duo.
Binnen de muren van het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel musiceerden ze voor het eerst samen en onmiddellijk voelden ze elkaar goed aan. Meteen beslisten ze om dit muzikale verhaal verder te schrijven en samen nieuwe horizonten te ontdekken.
Dit leidde inmiddels tot enkele mooie en succesvolle concerten in binnen- en buitenland. Doorheen de jaren is hun repertoire uitgebreid met de grootste werken voor piano en (alt)hobo, van Schumann tot Poulenc.
Het duo kreeg ook onderricht van diverse gerenommeerde docenten zowel uit Brussel als Straatsburg zoals Thomas Dieltjens, Luc Loubry, Jan Michiels, Karel Schoofs, Dimitri Mestdag, Sébastien Giot, Christian Schmitt.
Ilona Ingels, born in Bruges, is an oboist who started her musical education at the age of 8 at the Municipal Conservatory of Bruges. She successfully completed both oboe and cor anglais with teacher Jan Wauters, in 2015 and 2017 respectively. She continued her training in September 2015 at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with teacher Karel Schoofs.During the 2018-2019 academic year, she completed an Erasmus exchange in Strasbourg at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin with Sébastien Giot and Christian Schmitt.In June 2020 she obtained her master’s degree in oboe with verve. Ilona has already played in several orchestras: Belgian National Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchester Philharmonique Royal de Liège, JeugdOrkest Nederland, National Youth Orchestra, Frascati Symphonic and others. This in collaboration with renowned conductors such as Anthony Hermus, Gustavo Gimeno, Jurjen Hempel, Hugh Wolff, Dirk Brossé and that in equally renowned international venues.
In the field of chamber music she already gained experience in various line-ups: from duos to even nonets!
She has also followed many masterclasses and internships with, among others: Jacques Tys, Dimitri Mestdag, Karel Schoofs, Tim Boonen, Sylvain Cremers, Jeroen Soors and Pauline Austria.
Since January 2016, Lenny Bui-Vandeput and Ilona Ingels have formed a regular oboe-piano duo.
Within the walls of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels they played together for the first time and immediately felt good together. They immediately decided to continue writing this musical story and explore new horizons together.
This has led to a number of beautiful and successful concerts at home and abroad. Over the years, their repertoire has expanded with the greatest works for piano and (alto) oboe, from Schumann to Poulenc.
The duo was also taught by various renowned teachers from both Brussels and Strasbourg such as Thomas Dieltjens, Luc Loubry, Jan Michiels, Karel Schoofs, Dimitri Mestdag, Sébastien Giot, Christian Schmitt.
