Jana is een zestienjarige violiste met de Belgische/Bulgaarse nationaliteit.
Geboren in een muzikale familie, begon ze viool te spelen toen ze vijf was.
In de loop van haar kindertijd toonde ze een grote passie voor muziek en volgde privélessen bij professionele violisten.
Sinds 2021 is ze studente van Erik Sluys aan de Muziekacademie van Anderlecht.
Jana deed mee aan meerdere wedstrijden. In 2021 behaalde ze bij ‘Jonge Solisten’ de derde prijs en in 2023 ontving ze de eerste prijs. In het ‘Prinses Christina Concours’ kreeg ze in 2023 een eervolle vermelding.
Ze werd geselecteerd voor het Toyota Youth Orchestra in Japan en speelt ook bij het Antwerps Jeugdorkest en Brussels Sinfonietta. Als eerste prijswinnaar van de wedstrijd voor Jonge Solisten, trad ze in februari 2024 op als soliste met het Stringendo orkest.
De afgelopen jaren volgde ze masterclasses in het binnen- en buitenland, zoals Encuentro Internacional de Musica in het Spaanse Cieza en een vioolstage in Lier. Ook stond ze reeds op het podium van Arbanassi Summer Music in Bulgarije, het kamermuziekfestival dat haar ouders organiseren.
Jana is gepassioneerd door fotografie en schrijft gedichten in haar vrije tijd.
Jana, at 16 years old, is a young violinist with Belgian/Bulgarian nationality.
Born into a musical family, she commenced playing the violin at the age of five. Throughout her childhood, she exhibited a profound passion for music and underwent private lessons with professional violinists.
Since 2021, she has been a student of Erik Sluys at the Anderlecht Music Academy.
Jana has actively participated in several competitions, including Young Soloists (2021, 3rd prize; 2023, 1st prize) and the Princess Christina Competition (2023, Honorable Mention).
She was chosen to be part of the Toyota Youth Orchestra in Japan and continues to perform with the Antwerp Youth Orchestra and Brussels Sinfonietta. As the 1st prize winner of the Young Soloists competition, she performed as a soloist with the Stringendo orchestra in February 2024.
In recent years, she has attended master classes both at home and abroad, such as the Encuentro Internacional de Musica in Cieza (Spain) and a violin internship in Lier. She has also graced the stage at Arbanassi Summer Music (Bulgaria), the chamber music festival organized by her parents.
In her free time, Jana is passionate about photography and writing poems.
