Als koorknaap in het kinderkoor van Opera Vlaanderen leerde Jonathan al snel wat het is om op een podium te staan. Na een opleiding aan de kunsthumaniora van het Lemmensinstituut trok hij naar het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel om daar te studeren bij Luc Bergé. Vandaag studeert hij aan de ‘Hochschule für Musik und Theater’ in Leipzig bij Thomas Hauschild. Als freelance muzikant kreeg hij al de kans om bij het orkest van deMunt/laMonnaie, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Leipzig Symfonieorchester, Irish Chamber Orchestra en anderen te spelen. Daarnaast speelt Jonathan ook regelmatig natuurhoorn bij onder andere Theresia Orchestra en Les Talens Lyriques. Hij heeft een voorliefde voor het creëren van muzikale voorstellingen en dat resulteerde onder andere al in ‘Rare Snuiters’ met Dimlicht en ‘WALD’ met Korpus Kwartet.
As a choirboy in Opera Vlaanderen’s children’s choir, Jonathan quickly learned what it is like to be on a stage. After high school at Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, he went to the Royal Conservatory of Brussels to study with Luc Bergé. Today, he is studying at the ‘Hochschule für Musik und Theater’ in Leipzig with Thomas Hauschild.
As a freelance musician, he has already had the opportunity to play with the orchestra of de Munt/la Monnaie, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Leipzig Symphony Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, and others.
Jonathan also regularly plays the natural horn with Theresia Orchestra and Les Talens Lyriques, among others. He loves creating musical performances, which has already resulted in ‘Rare Snuiters’ with Dimlicht and ‘WALD’ with Korpus Kwartet.
