Justina la Cour werd geboren in Odense, Denemarken.
Ze begon haar muzikale opleiding op vierjarige leeftijd met piano en op zesjarige leeftijd met viool.
Justina studeert momenteel voor een Masters graad, gespecialiseerd in concertinterpretatie aan de Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU, Zwitserland), met de gevierde concertvioliste Janine Jansen en prof. Tomo Keller als docenten.
In de periode tussen 2019 en 2022 studeerde Justina bij professor Tatiana Samouil aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel, wat een belangrijke ervaring was in Justina’s professionele carrière. En ze blijft nog steeds regelmatig cursussen volgen bij Prof. Samouil (zoals Forum Musikae in University Nebrija; Madrid, Spanje enz.). Justina heeft ook Masterclasses gevolgd bij Boris Garlitsky, Sergei Krylov, Lynn Chang, Sarah Kapustin en David Grimal.
Tijdens haar algemene studie heeft Justina talrijke nationale en internationale prijzen gewonnen, zoals de 1e prijs op de August Dombrovskis Internationale Competitie in Riga, Letland (2011); 1e prijs op de Internationale S. Sondeckis Competitie (2013); 3e prijs op de “Rising Stars” Music Competition in Berlijn, Duitsland (2017); 2e prijs bij de « Golden Classical » Music Awards, Weill Recital Hall, New York, VS (2018); 1e prijs en juryprijs op de “American Protégée” Concerto Competition (2017), New York, VS en 1e prijs op de “Grand Prize Virtuoso” Competitie, Rome, Italië (2018); Prix Rotary Lausanne-Lemain, Zwitserland (2018), Speciale Prijs op de 7e Internationale Competitie “Triomphe de l’Art”, (Brussel, 2021); 2e prijs op de Beethoven Young Musician Competition, Wenen 2022; 3e prijs op de Medici-wedstrijd, VK 2022.
Justina trad op als soliste bij verschillende professionele orkesten, zoals het Litouws Nationaal Symfonie Orkest, Riga Symfonie en Saint-Christopher Chamber Orchestra..
Tot de voormalige docenten van Justina behoren de Oekraïense professor Alexandre Zapolski (Denemarken) en de Franse soliste Virginie Robilliard (Zwitserland).
Justina la Cour was born in Odense, Denmark.
She started her musical education at the age of four with the piano and at the age of six with the violin.
Justina is currently studying for a Masters degree, specialised in concert interpretation at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU, Switzerland) under the celebrated concert violinist Janine Jansen and Prof. Tomo Keller as teachers.
In the period between 2019 and 2022 Justina studied under Professor Tatiana Samouil at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, which was a significant experience in Justina’s professional career and she is still continuing to regularly attend Courses held by Prof. Samouil (such as Forum Musikae in University Nebrija; Madrid, Spain etc.)
Justina has as well attended Masterclasses with Boris Garlitsky, Sergei Krylov, Lynn Chang, Sarah Kapustin and David Grimal.
During her overall studies Justina has won numerous National and International Prizes such as the 1st prize at the August Dombrovskis International Competition in Riga, Latvia (2011); 1st Prize at the International S. Sondeckis Competition (2013);
3rd prize at the « Rising Stars » Music Competition in Berlin, Germany (2017) ; 2nd prize at the « Golden Classical » Music Awards, Weill Recital Hall, New York, USA (2018); 1st prize as well as jury’s distinction award at the « American Protégée » Concerto Competition (2017), New York, USA and 1st prize at the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” Competition, Rome,Italy (2018); Prix Rotary Lausanne-Lemain, Switzerland (2018), Special Prize at 7th International Competition “Triomphe de l’Art”, (Brussels, 2021); 2nd Prize at the Beethoven Young Musician Competition, Vienna 2022; 3rd Prize at the Medici Competition , UK 2022.
Justina has appeared as soloist with various professional orchestras, such as the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Riga Symphony and Saint-Christopher Chamber Orchestra etc.
Justina’s former teachers include the Ukrainian Professor Alexandre Zapolski (Denmark) and the French Soloist Virginie Robilliard (Switzerland).
