Kacper Nowak werd in Polen geboren en begon op zijn achtste cello te spelen. Een jaar later werd hij laureaat van de Liezen Wedstrijd in Oostenrijk. Hij volgde les bij Danuta Taczanowska aan de Fryderyk Chopin School in Poznan.
Hij behaalde tal van prijzen op verschillende nationale en internationale wedstrijden en werd lid van de nationale stichting voor hoogbegaafde kinderen. In 2005 won hij de Eerste Prijs op de wedstrijd van Sint-Pieters-Woluwe in Brussel om het volgende jaar te starten bij Didier Poskin.
In 2010 zette hij zijn opleiding verder bij Maria Kliegel in Keulen. Hij behaalde de Eerste Prijs Van Cutsem en Fely Waselle. Daarna studeerde hij verder bij Justus Grimm aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen en won hij in 2012 de Grote Prijs Edmond Baert. In 2014 beëindigde Kacper zijn master en ontving hij de Nederlandse Oranjebeurs.
Hij nam deel aan masterclasses met grote musici zoals Gérard Caussé, Walter Grimmer, Boyan Vodenitcharov, France Springuel, Gautier Capuçon, Quatuor Danel, Jean-Guihen Queyras en Natalia Gutman.
Sinds september 2014 vervolmaakt Kacper Nowak zich aan de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth onder leiding van Gary Hoffman.
In 2015 won hij zowel de Eerste Prijs als de Publieksprijs op de Ottoboni – I solisti wedstrijd, en in september van datzelfde jaar werd hij laureaat op de Internationale Johannes Brahms Wedstrijd in Oostenrijk. In de herfst van 2018 bracht hij samen met Christia Hudziy zijn debuut album ‘Contrastes’ uit met werk van Schnittke, Martinu en Brahms
In januari 2019 won hij de Supernova Classics-wedstrijd samen met het Urban Piano Quartet, waarvan hij het oprichtende lid is.
Kacper Nowak was born in Poland and began playing the cello at the age of eight. A year later, he became a laureate of the Liezen Competition in Austria. He studied with Danuta Taczanowska at the Fryderyk Chopin School in Poznan, winning numerous prizes at various national and international competitions. He also became a member of the national foundation for gifted children. In 2005, he achieved the First Prize at the Sint-Pieters-Woluwe competition in Brussels and commenced studies with Didier Poskin the following year.
In 2010, Kacper continued his training with Maria Kliegel in Cologne, winning the First Prize Van Cutsem and Fely Waselle. He then pursued studies with Justus Grimm at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, earning the Edmond Baert Grand Prize in 2012. In 2014, he completed his master’s degree, receiving the Dutch Orange Scholarship. Kacper participated in master classes with renowned musicians such as Gérard Caussé, Walter Grimmer, Boyan Vodenitcharov, France Springuel, Gautier Capuçon, Quatuor Danel, Jean-Guihen Queyras, and Natalia Gutman.
Since September 2014, Kacper Nowak has been honing his skills at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the direction of Gary Hoffman. In 2015, he won both the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Ottoboni – I solisti competition. In September of the same year, he became a laureate at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria.
In the autumn of 2018, he released his debut album ‘Contrastes’ with Christia Hudziy, featuring works by Schnittke, Martinu, and Brahms. In January 2019, he won the Supernova Classics competition together with the Urban Piano Quartet, of which he is the founding member.
