Katsura Mizumoto verhuisde naar Duitsland na het behalen van een Master of Economics aan de Hokkaido University en studeerde af aan de Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt met de hoogste onderscheiding. Ze volgde Masterclasses bij onder meer Leon Fleischer, Paul-Badura Skoda en Vitaly Margulis.
Katsura heeft prijzen gewonnen op internationale wedstrijden, waaronder A.M.A Calabria, de Academischer Austausch Service in Duitsland en de Hochschule Competition in Berlijn. Katsura is momenteel solist en kamermusicus in Europa en Japan. Ze speelde ook kamermuziek met gerenommeerde musici als Charles Neidich, Gary Hoffman, Nobuko Imai, Philippe Graffin, Michael Sanderling enz. Ze is uitgenodigd op internationale muziekfestivals in Europa en Japan. Ze was docent aan de Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt en is nu pianobegeleider voor de strijkerssectie aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussel en voor de cellosectie van de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth bij de Master in residence Gary Hoffman.
Katsura Mizumoto moved to Germany after receiving a Master of Economics from Hokkaido University and graduated from the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt with the highest distinction. She followed Masterclasses by Leon Fleischer, Paul-Badura Skoda, Vitaly Margulis among others.
Katsura has won prizes at international competitions including A.M.A Calabria, the Academischer Austausch Service in Germany and the Hochschule Competition in Berlin. Katsura is currently soloist and chamber musician in Europe and Japan. She also performed chamber music with renowned musicians such as Charles Neidich, Gary Hoffman, Nobuko Imai, Philippe Graffin, Michael Sanderling etc. She is invited to international music festivals in Europe and Japan. She has been a teacher at Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt and she is now piano accompanist for the string section at the Royal Conservatory in Brussel as well as for the cello section of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel with the Master in residence Gary Hoffman.
