    Kirsten Gedeshi kreeg op 6-jarige leeftijd haar eerste pianolessen aan de Akademie van Muzische Kunsten in Meise. Daarnaast volgde ze pianoles bij verschillende leerkrachten, waaronder Barbara Baltussen en de hedendaagse Belgische componist Gillis Sacré. Toen ze vijftien was startte ze als jong talent in het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel, waar ze in 2021 haar masterdiploma behaalde bij Jan Michiels.

    Kirsten was laureate en laureaat-finaliste van verschillende nationale en internationale jeugdwedstrijden. Ze kreeg de eerste prijs in de wedstrijd ‘Brodelet’ en in de ‘Vlamo-wedstrijd’, de tweede prijs in de ‘Rotary-Breughel Wedstrijd’, in de ‘Steinway piano competition’ en in de ‘Cantabile pianowedstrijd’. Als laureate van de genoemde wedstrijden kreeg ze de gelegenheid om concertervaring op te doen, zowel solo als in kamermuziekverband in verschillende grote Belgische concertzalen zoals Bozar, Flagey en de Singel, alsook in Musikverein te Wenen.

    Daarnaast werd ze reeds uitgenodigd op grote festivals, waaronder ‘Midi-Minimes’, ‘de zomer van Sint-Pieters’ en ‘Arte Amanti’ en concerteerde ze al enkele keren als solist met orkest. Zij volgde meerdere masterclasses bij onder anderen Jean-Claude Van den Eynden, Lucas Blondeel, Kyoko Hashimoto, Daniel Blumenthal, Piet Kuijken, Hans Ryckelynck, Hannes Minnaar, Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort, Mariangela Vacatelo, Vitaly Samoshko, Gilead Mishory, Hans Peter Stenz, Julien Libeer, Gottlieb Wallisch, Roland Krüger, Björn Lehmann.


    Kirsten Gedeshi took her first piano lessons at the age of six at the Academy of Art in Meise. She also took piano lessons with various teachers, including Barbara Baltussen and the contemporary Belgian composer Gillis Sacré. When she was fifteen she started as “young talent” at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where she obtained her master’s degree in 2021 with Jan Michiels.

    Kirsten was laureate and laureate-finalist of several national and international youth competitions.
