Kristina Georgieva werd in 2001 in Sofia, Bulgarije geboren. Al heel jong speelde ze als soliste bij vele orkesten. Haar optreden met het Nationaal Orkest van België en dirigent Maxim Vengerov, evenals concerten met het kamerorkest van Saint-Giron in Frankrijk en het Sophia Philharmonisch Orkest in Bulgarije vormden recente hoogtepunten.
Deelname aan het kamermuziekfestival ‘Musica Mundi’ zetten haar definitief op het muzikale spoor. Bijna tien jaar lang werkte Kristina samen met de inspirerende professor Leonid Kerbel.
Ze deed uitgebreid ervaring op in kamermuziek door optredens met artiesten als Misha Maisky, Maxim Vengerov, Ivry Gitlis, Emannuel Pahud, Jérôme Pernoo, Jaques Rouvier, Alexanda Soumm, Ivan Karizna en vele anderen.
Nadat ze als zevenjarige haar eerste wedstrijd won, verzamelde Kristina successen in meer dan vijftien wedstrijden in landen als Italië, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Rusland en andere.
De blikvangers van deze vele onderscheidingen zijn de ‘Award Young Musician of the year van de Bulgarian National Radio’, de eerste prijs bij de wedstrijd ‘Rising Stars’ in Berlijn, de eerste prijs bij de ‘Marie Cantagrill International Competition’ in Frankrijk, de gouden medaille bij de ‘Vienna International Muziekwedstrijd’ en tweede prijs in de ‘Leopold Auer-wedstrijd’ in St. Petersburg, Rusland.
Na haar afstuderen aan de Musica Mundi School in 2021 volgt Kristina momenteel een bachelor aan de Barenboim-Said Academie in Berlijn bij professor Mihaela Martin.
Kristina Georgieva was born in 2001 in Sofia, Bulgaria. From a very young age she played as a soloist with many orchestras. Her performance with the National Orchestra of Belgium and conductor Maxim Vengerov, as well as concerts with the Chamber Orchestra of Saint-Giron in France and the Sophia Philharmonic Orchestra in Bulgaria, have been recent highlights.
Participation in the chamber music festival ‘Musica Mundi’ definitely put her on the musical track. For almost ten years, Kristina worked with the inspiring professor Leonid Kerbel.
She gained extensive experience in chamber music through performances with artists such as Misha Maisky, Maxim Vengerov, Ivry Gitlis, Emannuel Pahud, Jérôme Pernoo, Jaques Rouvier, Alexanda Soumm, Ivan Karizna and many others.
After winning her first competition at the age of seven, Kristina accumulated successes in more than fifteen competitions in countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Russia and others.
The eye-catchers of these many awards are the ‘Award Young Musician of the year of the Bulgarian National Radio’, the first prize at the ‘Rising Stars’ competition in Berlin, the first prize at the ‘Marie Cantagrill International Competition’ in France, the gold medal in the ‘Vienna International Music Competition’ and second prize in the ‘Leopold Auer Competition’ in St. Petersburg, Russia.
