    Lily Maisky werd in Parijs geboren maar verhuisde al snel naar Brussel. Ze begon met piano toen ze vier was met lerares Lyl Tempo en met Hagit Kerbel, Ilana Davids en Alan Weiss. Lily was een leerling van de Purcell School of Music waar ze ook jazz piano studeerde. Ze kreeg masterclasses van befaamde artiesten als Martha Argerich, Dmitri Bashkirov, Joseph Kalichstein, Pavel Gililov en Vitalij Margulis, om maar enkelen te noemen.

    Ze gaf concerten in Europa en het Verre Oosten en werd uitgenodigd voor bekende muziekfestivals als ‘Verbier Festival’, ‘Progetto Martha Argerich’ in Lugano, ‘Edinburgh Festival’, ‘Miyazaki Festival’, ‘Maggio Musicale Fiorentino’, ‘Bergamo-Brescia’, ‘Beijing Piano Festival’, ‘Frank Liszt Festival’ in Oostenrijk, ‘Julian Rachlin and Friends’ in Dubrovnik, ‘Rencontres de Bel Air’ in Frankrijk, ‘Gstaad festival’, ‘Schlesswig-Holstein Music festival’, ‘Berlin festival’ en ‘English Chamber Orchestra Music Cruise’.

    Lily heeft een voorliefde voor kamermuziek en speelt regelmatig in duo met Mischa Maisky en in het Maisky Trio met haar broer Sacha. Ze gaf concerten met Julian Rachlin, Janine Jansen, Dora Schwarzberg, Renaud Capuçon, Chantal Juillet, Sergey Krylov, Martha Argerich, Nicolas Angelich, Frank Braley, Gérard Caussé en vele anderen.

    Als soliste en in ensembles speelde ze in prestigieuze concertzalen als de Royal Festival Hall in Londen, het Musikverein en Konzerthaus in Wenen, het Prinzregentheater in München, de Leiszhalle in Hamburg,

    het Konzerthaus in Berlijn, La Fenice in Venetië, de Beethoven Halle in Bonn, Suntory Hall in Tokio, het Teatro Olimpico in Rome, het Moscow Conservatory, de Philharmonie van Sint Petersburg, Carnegie Hall in New York, het Performing Arts Center in Seoul, Megaron in Athene, Buckingham Palace en nog vele anderen.

    Lily maakte opnames voor Deutsche Grammophon en EMI en was vaak te horen op Europese en Aziatische radio en televisie. Haar laatste opname was voor Avanti Classics met Grammy Award winnende violist Philippe Quint.


    Lily Maisky was born in Paris, moving to Brussels soon after. She began playing the piano at the age of four, with Lyl Tiempo, also studying with Hagit Kerbel, Ilana Davids and Alan Weiss. Lily was a pupil at the “Purcell School of Music” where she also studied jazz piano. She has received master classes and musical advice from renowned artists including Martha Argerich, Dmitri Bashkirov, Joseph Kalichstein, Pavel Gililov and Vitalij Margulis to name a few.

    Concert appearances have taken her throughout Europe as well as the Far East, and she has been invited to many of the great festivals such as the Verbier Festival, Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano, the Edinburgh Festival, Miyazaki Festival, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Bergamo-Brescia, the Beijing Piano Festival, the Franz Liszt festival in Austria, Julian Rachlin and Friends in Dubrovnik, Rencontres de Bel Air in France, Gstaad Festival, the Schlesswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Berlin Festival as well as the English Chamber Orchestra Music Cruise.

    She has also performed solo and ensemble works in such prestigious venues as the Royal Festival Hall in London, Vienna’s Musikverein and Concerthaus, Munich’s Prinzregentheatre, Hamburg’s Leiszhalle, Berlin’sKonzerthaus, Venezia’s La Fenice, Bonn’s BeethovenHalle, Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, Rome’s Teatro Olimpico, Moscow Conservatory, Saint Petersburg Philarmonie, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Seoul’s Performing Arts Center, Athens Megaron and Buckingham Palace among many others.

    Lily features on several Deutsche Grammophon and EMI recording releases, and has been frequently broadcasted on European and Asian radio and television. Her latest release is for Avanti Classics with Grammy Award winning Violinist Philippe Quint. She has a predilection for chamber music and forms a regular duo with Mischa Maisky, as well as the Maisky trio with her brother. She has also performed with such artists as Julian Rachlin, Janine Jansen, Dora Schwarzberg, Renaud Capuçon, Chantal Juillet, Sergey Krylov, Martha Argerich, Nicholas Angelich, Frank Braley, Gérard Caussé and many others.
