Monika Dars (Darzinkeviciute) is een Litouwse pianiste die momenteel in België en Zwitserland verblijft. Ze treedt in heel Europa op als soliste en kamermusicus.
Ze studeerde aan het Koninklijke Conservatorium Brussel bij D. Blumenthal, aan de Duitse Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover bij E.Kupiec en aan de Zwitserse Hochschule der Künste Bern.
Monika is een laureaat van nationale en internationale pianocompetities. Recent won ze onder andere de Joseph Darche Piano Prize in Brussel en, samen met cellist Natania Hoffmann, behaalde ze de tweede plaats van de kamermuziekcompetitie van Luigi Nono in Rivoli, Italië. In 2018 trad Monika, in het kader van de zestigste verjaardag van de Benelux, op voor de Koninklijke families in de Grote Zaal ‘Henry Le Boeuf’ van Bozar in Brussel.
Monika is heel gepassioneerd door kamermuziek, zo speelt ze vaak in duo-ensembles cello-piano en pianokwartetten. In het kader van verschillende festivals, heeft ze onder andere met F. Helmerson, J. Grimm, P. Graffin, D. Blumenthal, E. Zeuthen Schneider, T. Nys en D. Guerrier samengewerkt.
In de loop der jaren had Monika ook het grote genoegen om solo op te treden met Lviv Kamer, Litouws Symphonie, Kaunas Kamer, Ciurlionis Symphonie en Kamer orkesten. Monika was te horen op prestigieuze Europese festivals zoals Encuentro de Santander in Spanje, Harmos in Portugal, l’Académie Internationale d’été de Nice in Frankrijk, Thy Chamber Music Festival in Denemarken, Rencontres Musicales Internationales d’Enghien, Midis-Minimes in België, Apeldoorn Festival in Schiermonnikoog, Akoesticum Talent Program in Nederland, Aurora Festival in Zweden, Bieszczady Bez Granic Piano Forum in Polen, National Students’ Academy (fondation M. Rostropovich) en Christopher’s Summer Festival in Litouwen.
De opnames van Monika werden door Lithuanian National Radio and Television, Musiq’3 en BRAVA in Nederland uitgezonden.
Monika Dars (Darzinkeviciute) is a Lithuanian pianist currently living in Belgium and Switzerland. She performs throughout Europe as a soloist and chamber musician.
She studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with D. Blumenthal, at the German Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover with E. Kupiec and at the Swiss Hochschule der Künste Bern.
Monika is a laureate of national and international piano competitions. She recently won, among other things, the Joseph Darche Piano Prize in Brussels and, together with cellist Natania Hoffmann, she took second place in the Luigi Nono chamber music competition in Rivoli, Italy. In 2018, in the context of the sixtieth anniversary of the Benelux, Monika performed for the Royal families in the Great Hall ‘Henry Le Boeuf’ of Bozar in Brussels.
