De internationale carrière van het Mosa Trio nam een vlucht na het winnen van prijzen op een groot aantal wedstrijden zoals het 14e Concours International de Musique de Chambre de Lyon (2018, FR), het 31e FNAPEC Concours européen Musique d’Ensemble (2017, FR), de International Orlando Competition (2015, NL), de ‘Supernova – the Future Sound of Classical Music’ (2014, BE), het Concours International de Musique de Chambre d’Illzach (2013, FR) en de Storioni Ensemblewedstrijd (2012, NL). Het Mosa Trio was tevens halve finalist van de prestigieuze Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition (2018, AU).
Sindsdien heeft het Mosa Trio in veel grote zalen van de Lage Landen gespeeld, waaronder het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven en BOZAR (Brussel). Daarnaast heeft het wereldwijd concerten gegeven in Italië, Frankrijk, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Oostenrijk, Luxemburg, Australië en China. In 2017 was het Mosa Trio ‘Ensemble en Résidence’ op het beroemde Festival International de Piano de La Roque d’Anthéron. In 2018 voerde het trio Beethovens Tripelconcerto uit met het Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon onder leiding van Bernhard Kontarsky.
Het Mosa Trio heeft tientallen live radio- en tv-uitzendingen op zijn naam staan, waaronder een concertregistratie voor het programma ‘Generatie K’ op Canvas (VRT), opnames voor Klara tijdens het Klarafestival en voor Radio 4 in het Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Naast deze opnames bracht het trio in 2018 zijn debuut-cd ‘Portraits’ uit op het label Antarctica Records.
Behalve op het podium brengen de musici van het Mosa Trio ook graag op andere manieren hun passie voor klassieke muziek over op anderen. Zo geven ze regelmatig masterclasses en workshops, o.a. op de Sichuan Conservatory of Music (China) en de Orlando Festival Samenspel Cursus.
Het Belgisch-Nederlandse Mosa Trio dankt zijn naam aan ‘Mosa Trajectum’, de Latijnse naam voor de stad Maastricht. Het trio werd gecoacht aan het Conservatorium Maastricht door Henk Guittart (Schönberg Quartet) en Tonie Ehlen. Vervolgens studeerde het in Parijs bij Trio Wanderer en dankzij de European Chamber Music Academy aan instituten als het Conservatoire National Supérieur in Parijs en de Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Het trio volgde masterclasses bij o.a. Menahem Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio), Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet), Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartet), Mark Steinberg (Brentano Quartet) en Avedis Kouyoumdjian.
The international career of the Mosa Trio took off with prizes at prestigious competitions such as the 14th Concours International de Musique de Chambre de Lyon (2018, FR.), 31st FNAPEC Concours européen Musique d’Ensemble (2017, FR), the International Orlando Competition (2015, NL), the ‘Supernova – the Future Sound of Classical Music’ (2014, BE), the Concours International de Musique de Chambre d’Illzach (2013, FR) and the Storioni Ensemble Competition (2012, NL). The Mosa Trio was a semi-finalist of the prestigious Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition (2018, AU).
Since then, the Mosa Trio has played in major venues in the Low Countries, including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, and BOZAR Brussels. International tours took them to concerts in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, Luxembourg, Australia and the People’s Republic of China. In 2017, the Mosa Trio featured as Ensemble in Residence at the world-famous Piano Festival in La Roque d’Anthéron. In 2018, the trio performed Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon under Bernhard Kontarsky.

The name of the Mosa Trio is derived from Mosa Trajectum, the Latin denomination of the city of Maastricht. The trio was first coached at the Conservatory of Maastricht by Henk Guittart (Schönberg Quartet) and Tonie Ehlen. It then went on to study in Paris with the Trio Wanderer and thanks to the European Chamber Music Academy at institutions like the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
