    Nina Poskin begon met viool toen ze 4 was in de Koninklijke Muziek Academie van Vilvoorde. Ze studeerde met Michel Poskin en verder met Leonid Kerbel. Toen ze 18 was, werd ze toegelaten tot de klas van Igor Oistrakh in het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel. Ze begon met altviool rond haar 20ste in verschillende kamermuziekensembles en beëindigde haar Bachelor diploma met Yossif Ivanov en Paul Declercq. In 2011 werd Nina toegelaten tot Royal College of Music (RCM), waar ze een Master in Performance voor altviool behaalde bij Jonathan Barritt. Ze volgde masterclasses met onder andere Claus Meyrup, Garfield Jackson, Yuko Inoue en Carol Rodland. Ze volgt verder les met Michael Kugel en Gina Beukes.

    In 2013 werd Nina lid van het Verbier Festival Orchestra. In 2014 werd ze toegelaten tot het Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester en in 2015 slaagde ze voor het European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). Ze werkte met grote dirigenten als Charles Dutoit, Valerie Gergiev, Essa Pekka Salonen, Gianandrea Noseda, Kent Nagano, Dmitri Jurowsky, Bernard  Haitinck, Jaap Van Zweden, Gabor Takacs-Nagy, Ivan Fisher en vele anderen. Ze won verschillende prijzen zoals de ‘Best Unaccompanied Bach’ prijs (RCM) en een Robert McFadzean Whyte Award.

    Nina was ook altiste bij het Fontanelli String Quartet, met wie ze de prestigieuze “Park Lane Group Young Artists” prijs in Londen heeft gewonnen. Ze was als soliste te zien met het Hoffmeister concerto en Vaughan Williams suite met het Oost-Vlaams Kamerorkest en in het festival ‘The Rest is Noise’ waar ze ‘Viola,Viola’ van George Benjamin speelde. Nina werd ook vaak gevraagd in de Munt.  Sinds september 2022 is ze lid van het Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège. Ze is ook assistente in IMEP (Institut Royal Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie, Namur).

    Nina speelt op een altviool gemaakt door Florian Leonhard in 2015.

     


    Nina Poskin started playing the violin when she was 4 at the Royal Music Academy of Vilvoorde. She studied with Michel Poskin and further with Leonid Kerbel. When she was 18, she was admitted to Igor Oistrakh’s class at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. She started playing the viola around the age of 20 in various chamber music ensembles. She finished her Bachelor degree with Yossif Ivanov and Paul Declercq. In 2011, Nina was admitted to Royal College of Music (RCM), where she obtained a Master in Performance for viola with Jonathan Barritt. She took master classes with, among others, Claus Meyrup, Garfield Jackson, Yuko Inoue and Carol Rodland. She also takes lessons with Michael Kugel and Gina Beukes.

She is also teaching as an assistant in IMEP (Institut Royal Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie, Namur).
