Raphael Gisbertz is een veelbelovende violist die zich zowel als solist als kamermusicus heeft laten horen op toonaangevende podia in Europa. Hij trad op in onder meer de Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, BOZAR Brussel, het Konzerthaus Wenen, de Kölner Philharmonie en de Tonhalle Düsseldorf, waar zijn spel opvalt door muzikale rijpheid en expressieve diepgang.
Hij nam deel aan prestigieuze internationale festivals en academies zoals de Verbier Festival Soloists Academy, de Gstaad String Academy en de Musica Mundi Cursus en Festival. Zijn internationale doorbraak kwam met het behalen van de Grand Prix op het Concours Grumiaux in Brussel (2023) en de Tweede Prijs op de Internationale Ysaÿe Competitie (2021).
Raphael studeert momenteel bij professor Leonid Kerbel aan de Musica Mundi School in België, waar hij verder werkt aan de ontwikkeling van zijn eigen artistieke stem en technische verfijning. Hij bespeelt een uitzonderlijke Carlo Giuseppe Testore-viool (ca. 1700), die hem ter beschikking wordt gesteld door de Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, een stichting die jong toptalent ondersteunt met historische instrumenten van grote waarde.
Met optredens op vooraanstaande Europese podia en belangrijke internationale onderscheidingen profileert Raphael Gisbertz zich als een jonge musicus met een uitgesproken muzikaal profiel en een veelbelovende toekomst.
Raphael Gisbertz is an emerging violinist who has distinguished himself as both a soloist and chamber musician on prominent stages across Europe. He has performed at leading venues including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, BOZAR Brussels, Vienna Konzerthaus, Cologne Philharmonie, and the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, where his playing has been praised for its musical maturity and expressive depth.
Raphael has appeared at renowned international festivals and academies such as the Verbier Festival Soloists Academy, the Gstaad String Academy, and the Musica Mundi Course and Festival, collaborating with distinguished musicians and gaining valuable artistic inspiration. His growing international reputation was further strengthened by major competition successes, including the Grand Prize at the Concours Grumiaux in Brussels (2023) and Second Prize at the International Ysaÿe Competition (2021).
Currently based in Belgium, Raphael studies with Professor Leonid Kerbel at the Musica Mundi School, where he continues to refine his artistic voice and technical mastery. He performs on a remarkable Carlo Giuseppe Testore violin (c. 1700), generously loaned to him by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, which supports outstanding young musicians by providing exceptional historical instruments.
