    Regina Vanhecke is een 21 jarige pianiste en speelt sinds ze vier jaar was. Eerst in de Jeugdmuziekschool te Beersel, daarna in de Muziekacademie te Ninove en verder bij de Spaanse pianiste Caridad Galindo. Regina studeerde van 2017 tot 2020 bij Talent Music Masters School in Brescia.

    Tegenwoordig volgt zij lessen bij Philippe Raskin, professor aan de Friedrich Gulda school of Music in Wenen. Ze begint aan het eerste masterjaar in de klas van Piet Kuijken aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel. Ze werd er in 2019 als jong talent toegelaten bij Aleksandar Madzar.

    Ze volgde masterclasses met pianisten als Arie Vardi, Jean Claude Vanden Eynden, Vincenzo Balzani, Yuri Bogdanov, Olga Kern, Nataliya Trull, Robert Andres, Amy Lin, Svetlana Eganian, Masahi Katayama, Krystian Tkaczewski, Leonel Morales, Andreas Frölich.

    Dit jaar was ze jurylid bij het International Music Festival Paris – Piano Competition. 

    Regina wordt als jong talent uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan festivals en concerten, Arte Amanti, Clame, Onde musicali sul Lago d’Iseo, Pianisti dal Mondo- Brescia en Résonances in Le Havre, het openingsconcert van de César Franck International Piano Competition en het Ars Musica festival in Brussel.

    Recent speelde zij met orkest o.l.v. professor Masahi Katayama (Osaka University of Arts) die haar complimenteerde met ‘she has very important essence for classic musicians at her young age already’. 

    Als Jong Talent deelde ze het podium met maestri als Jean Claude Vanden Eynden, Philippe Raskin, Andreas Frölich, Vincenzo Balzani, Luc Devos, Lavard Skou Larsen, Jérôme Pernoo, Miguel Da Silva, Paul Meyer.

    Zij nam deel aan nationale en internationale wedstrijden. 

    In 2016 werd ze laureaat van de Cantabile wedstrijd met Emmanuel Durletprijs voor beste interpretatie van het verplichte werk.

    In 2018 kreeg ze de tweede prijs van het Concours National Andrée Charlier.

    Een jaar later ontving Regina de tweede prijs op de Tadini International Piano Competition te Lovere, de eerste prijs bij Vlamo en de eerste prijs op het Grand Concours International de Paris.

    In 2022 won ze de Vlamo Virtuoso 22 en behaalde de derde prijs in de Danubia Talents Liszt International Music Competition evenals de eerste prijs in de Andrée Charlier competitie met tevens de Ars Musica prijs voor beste uitvoering van het verplichte werk. In 2023 kreeg ze eerste prijs op het Grand Concours International de Paris.


    Regina Vanhecke is a 21-year-old pianist who began playing at the age of four. She started her musical journey at the Youth Music School in Beersel and later studied under the Spanish pianist Caridad Galindo. From 2017 to 2020, she attended the Talent Music Masters School in Brescia, Italy.

    Currently, Regina studies under Maestro Philippe Raskin, a professor at the Friedrich Gulda School of Music in Vienna. This year, she will commence her first year of a Master’s degree in the class of Maestro Piet Kuijken at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. She was already recognized as a “Young Talent” there in 2019, studying with Maestro Aleksandar Madzar.

    Regina has participated in various masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Arie Vardi, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Vincenzo Balzani, Yuri Bogdanov, Olga Kern, Nataliya Trull, Robert Andres, Amy Lin, Svetlana Eganian, Masahi Katayama, Krystian Tkaczewski, Leonel Morales, and Andreas Frölich.

    This year, for the first time, she had the honor of serving as a jury member at the “International Music Festival Paris – Piano Competition.”

    Regina is regularly invited to perform as a young talent at various festivals and concerts, including Arte Amanti, Clame, Onde Musicali sul Lago d’Iseo, Pianisti dal Mondo (Brescia), and Résonances (Le Havre, France). She has also performed at the opening concert of the César Franck International Piano Competition and at the Ars Musica Festival in Brussels.

    Recently, she performed with an orchestra under the direction of Maestro Masahi Katayama (Osaka University of Arts), who praised her, saying, “She possesses a very important essence for classical musicians at such a young age.”

    As a young talent, Regina has shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Philippe Raskin, Andreas Frölich, Vincenzo Balzani, Luc Devos, Lavard Skou Larsen, Jérôme Pernoo, Miguel Da Silva, and Paul Meyer.

    She has also achieved remarkable success in several national and international competitions:
    2016: Laureate of the Cantabile competition, receiving the Emmanuel Durlet Prize for the best interpretation of the compulsory work.
    2018: Second prize at the Concours National Andrée Charlier.
    2019: Second prize at the Tadini International Piano Competition in Lovere, Italy, First prize “with praise from the jury” at Vlamo, First prize unanimously at the Grand Concours International de Paris in her category.
    2022: First prize “cum laude” at Vlamo Virtuoso 22 in the highest category, Third prize at the Danubia Talents Liszt International Music Competition, First prize at the Andrée Charlier National Competition, along with the Ars Musica Prize for the best interpretation of the imposed work.
    2023: First prize unanimously at the Grand Concours International de Paris in the highest category.
