    Ruben Ide (2004, Gent) begon op vijfjarige leeftijd met viool bij zijn vader Hendrik Ide en later ook bij zijn grootvader Rogier Ide. Vanaf juli 2018 volgde hij les in de Jong Talentklas Amsterdam bij Coosje Wijzenbeek. Ruben maakte daar ook deel uit van het strijkersensemble Fancy Fiddlers. Sinds 2021 studeert hij bij Vera Beths aan het conservatorium van Amsterdam waar hij in 2022 ook zijn bachelor begon.

    De afgelopen jaren heeft hij masterclasses gekregen van onder anderen Nadia Wijzenbeek, Maria Milstein, Marc Danel en Alexei Moshkov.

    In juni 2020 behaalde Ruben de tweede prijs in het ‘Britten Concours’ te Zwolle, in 2022 won hij datzelfde concours. Hierdoor mocht hij soleren met het Britten Orkest in 2022. In het najaar van 2023 volgde een concertreeks met het tweede vioolconcerto van Mozart en Fratres van Arvo Pärt.

    Naast het duo met zijn broer Jonathan aan de piano, maakt hij deel uit van diverse kamermuziekgroepen in Amsterdam, zoals het Bosmans Kwartet.


    Ruben Ide (2004, Ghent) began playing the violin at the age of 5 under the guidance of his father, Hendrik Ide, and later also with his grandfather Rogier Ide. Starting from July 2018 he received lessons in the Young Talent Class Amsterdam with Coosje Wijzenbeek. Ruben was also part of the string ensemble Fancy Fiddlers during this time. Since 2021 he has been under the tutelage of Vera Beths (Amsterdam Conservatory), where he commenced his bachelor’s degree in 2022.

    Over the past few years, Ruben has benefited from masterclasses conducted by notable figures such as Nadia Wijzenbeek, Maria Milstein, Marc Danel and Alexei Moshkov. In June 2020, Ruben won the second prize at the British Competition in Zwolle, and won the same competition in 2022. This success afforded him the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the British Orchestra in 2022. Subsequently,in the autumn of 2023, Ruben embarked on a concert series featuring Mozart’s second violin concerto and Arvo Pärt’s “Fratres”.

    In addition to his piano duo performances with his brother Jonathan at the piano, Ruben actively participates in various chamber music groups in Amsterdam, including the Bosmans Quartet.
