Steven (°2005) begint als zevenjarige in de jong-talent klas van Marijke Oers. De laatste vier jaar van zijn middelbare opleiding studeert hij aan de Musica Mundi School in Waterloo. Hier volgt hij piano bij maestro Jacques Rouvier en Hagit Kerbel en kamermuziek bij Leonid Kerbel. Gelijktijdig studeert hij aan het Centre Musical Eduardo del Pueyo in Brussel bij maestro Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden. Sinds 2023 studeert hij piano bij professor Björn Lehman aan de Universität der Künste in Berlijn. Hij is laureaat van ‘La Fondation Chopin Belgique’.
Steven volgde masterclasses bij o.a. Dmitri Alexeev, Pavel Gililov, Andreas Groethuysen, Robert Levin, André De Groote, Barbara Szczepanska, Jan Vermeulen, Philippe Raskin, David Fray en Maxim Vengerov (kamermuziek).
Hij behaalde vele nationale en internationale prijzen. Hij kreeg de tweede prijs bij ‘EPTA Belgium’, drie maal won hij ‘Cantabile’, hij was winnaar van de ‘Concours de Liège’ en twee maal van ‘Steinway Belgium’, hij was derde in ‘Feurich Wenen’ en was finalist bij ‘Thomas Speelt Het Hard’ van de Vlaamse Canvas televisie.
Met zijn Musica Mundi Piano Trio won hij eerste prijzen op de ‘International ISCART Competition 2021’ en op de ‘International Music Competition 2021’ voor zowel de Music & Stars Awards als de Grand Prix Crown of Stars.
Steven kon spelen met meerdere orkesten zoals het Limburgs Orkest Jeugd en Muziek (piano concertos van Beethoven en van Grieg), het AMAJ Jong Symfonisch orkest (Saint-Saëns, Le Carnaval des Animaux), het Arenberg orkest (Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue), het Sonores Symfonie Orkest Gent (Rachmaninoff piano concerto No. 2) en het Musica Mundi Orchestra (Poulenc, concerto voor twee pianos). Ook voerde hij samen met Roeland Hendrikx de sonate voor clarinet en piano van Poulenc uit en samen met maestro Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden de Schubert-fantasie voor vier handen.
In 2020 tot 2023 nam Steven deel aan het jaarlijkse Musica Mundi festival. Ook werd hij meerdere malen uitgenodigd om te spelen op Musicorum concerten in Brussel en jaarlijks als jong talent op de Arte Amanti concerten in Vlaanderen. Daarnaast speelde hij concerten en recitals in Nederland, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Oostenrijk, Engeland en Polen.
Steven (2005) started as a 7-year-old in the young talent class of Marijke Oers. He spent the last four years of his secondary education studying at the Musica Mundi School in Waterloo. Here he studied piano with maestro Jacques Rouvier and Hagit Kerbel and chamber music with Leonid Kerbel. At the same time, he studied at the Centre Musical Eduardo del Pueyo in Brussels with maestro Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden. Since 2023, he has been studying piano with Prof. Björn Lehman at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. He is a laureate of “La Fondation Chopin Belgique”.

Steven could play with orchestras such as the Limburg Youth and Music Orchestra (piano concertos by Beethoven and Grieg), the AMAJ Young Symphony Orchestra (Le Carnaval des Animaux), the Arenberg Orchestra (Rhapsody in Blue), the Sonores Symphony Orchestra Ghent (Rachmaninoff piano concerto No. 2) and the Musica Mundi Orchestra (Poulenc, concerto for two pianos). Together with Roeland Hendrikx, he performed Poulenc’s sonata for clarinet and piano. With Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, he performed the Schubert fantasy for four hands.
In 2020 to 2023, Steven participated in the annual Musica Mundi festival. He was also invited several times to play at Musicorum concerts in Brussels and annually as a young talent at the Arte Amanti concerts in Flanders. He has also played concerts and recitals in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, England and Poland.
