    Het Tansman Cello Quartet, bestaande uit Didier Poskin, Karel Steylaert, Marinela Doko en Fernando Lima de Albuquerque, werd vernoemd naar de Poolse componist Alexander Tansman. Het Quartet ontstond in 2010 tijdens het “Festival Violoncelles en Folie” in de Franse Alpen waar Marinela Doko (Albanië), Fernando Lima de Albuquerque (Brazilië) en de Belgen Didier Poskin en Karel Steylaert elkaar leerden kennen.

    Sindsdien zijn zij “ensemble in residence” van dit Festival. Ze werden uitgenodigd in Frankrijk voor het Festival Messiaen, het Festival Musiques en Ecrins, in de Salle Cortot, alsook door de Belgische Servais Stichting in Halle en het Arte Amanti Festival.

    Het ensemble realiseerde in 2015 een eerste Cd-opname voor het Belgische label Antarctica met originele werken voor cellokwartet.

    Hun repertoire is erg uiteenlopend, en omvat naast originele werken ook betere bewerkingen van Barok tot hedendaagse muziek.


    The Tansman Cello Quartet, consisting of Didier Poskin, Karel Steylaert, Marinela Doko and Fernando Lima de Albuquerque, was named after the Polish composer Alexander Tansman. The Quartet was created in 2010 during the “Festival Violoncelles en Folie” in the French Alps where Marinela Doko (Albania), Fernando Lima de Albuquerque (Brazil) and the Belgians Didier Poskin and Karel Steylaert met each other.

    Since then they have been “ensemble in residence” for this Festival. They were invited in France for the Festival Messiaen, the Festival Musiques en Ecrins, in the Salle Cortot, and also by the Belgian Servais Foundation in Halle and the Arte Amanti Festival.

    The ensemble realized their first CD recording for the Belgian label Antarctica in 2015 with original works for cello quartet.

    Their repertoire is very diverse and includes original works as well as better arrangements from Baroque to contemporary music.
