Theodore KIM begon met viool spelen op zesjarige leeftijd in Waver, België. Toen hij negen jaar oud was, begon hij lessen bij Igor Tkatchouk, professor aan het Institut de Musique et Pédagogie (IMEP) in België en oprichter van de Internationale Grumiaux Competitie. Hij maakte ook deel uit van het Belgische muziekensemble “Ensemble des Jeunes Solistes de Belgique” (EJSB). Daarna volgde hij parallel de Young Talent Class aan het Junior Conservatorium Maastricht in 2016, onder leiding van professor Piotr Jasiurkowski.
Theodore is laureaat en prijswinnaar van vele nationale en internationale wedstrijden in België, Nederland, Polen, Zweden, Tsjechië, Portugal en Italië. In 2019 behaalde hij de 1e prijs op de VII Stockholm International Music Competition en in 2020 behaalde hij de 2e prijs op de Telemann Competition in Poznan. Theodore geeft regelmatig solo-optredens bij diverse concerten, masterclasses en festivals in diverse landen door heel Europa.
Theodore KIM started playing the violin at the age of six in Wavre, Belgium. When he was nine years old he began lessons with Igor Tkatchouk, professor at the “Institut de Musique et Pédagogie” (IMEP) in Belgium and founder of the International Grumiaux Competition. He was also part of the Belgian music ensemble “Ensemble des Jeunes Solistes de Belgique” (EJSB). He then joined in parallel the Young Talent Class at the Junior Conservatorium Maastricht in 2016, under professor Piotr Jasiurkowski.
Theodore is laureat and prize winner to many national and international competitions in Belgium, Holland, Poland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Portugal and Italy. In 2019, he obtained 1st prize at the VII Stockholm International Music Competition and in 2020 he obtained 2nd prize at the Telemann Competition in Poznan. Theodore regularly gives solo performances at various concerts, masterclasses and festivals in various countries throughout Europe.
