Sopraan Sofie Degrande en jazzpianist Dylan Marey studeerden allebei aan LUCA School of Arts, campus Lemmens, te Leuven. Samen verdiepen ze zich in het rijke repertoire en richtten ze het duo ‘Touché’ voor klassieke zang en jazzpiano op: https://muziekduotouche.be/.
Hun artistieke reis leidde ook tot de oprichting van ‘Camiel Producties’, een muziektheatergezelschap dat op unieke wijze muziek, theater, poëzie en grafische kunst combineert. Hun creaties betoveren een publiek van alle leeftijden. Laat je inspireren op www.camielproducties.be
Dylan genoot tijdens zijn bachelor- en masteropleiding van lessen van vooraanstaande docenten, zoals Frank Vaganée, Ron Van Rossum en Bo Van der Werf. Hij blijft actief betrokken bij diverse projecten, waaronder de Brusselse funkband ‘BBUNG’ die onlangs een eigen album ‘Blooddance’ uitbracht, een boeiende fusie van jazz en funk. Daarnaast is Dylan de pianist van het intieme jazztrio ‘STAAR’, waar gitaar, piano en zang in verfrissende composities van Arnout Standaert samensmelten. Recent nam hij ook enkele singles op met zijn eigen jazzkwartet ‘Travel Notes’. Zijn hedendaagse jazzcomposities zijn een vertaling van zijn reizen naar harmonieus en ritmisch uitdagende stukken. Sofie Degrande trad met het Luca Chamber Choir op tijdens de Belgian Music Days in samenwerking met het Atanares ensemble. Ze brachten er onder andere het werk ‘Haec Dies’ waar ze de sopraansolo vertolkte. Sofie was als voorprogramma te gast op het Internationaal muziekfestival ‘Semana Santa’. In april 2022 speelde ze mee in de opera ‘Tropenliefde’ (R. Vandermeulen) (vocaal ensemble). Sofie werkte samen met het Leuvens Universitair koor als soliste onder leiding van dirigent Kevin Hendrickx voor de concertenreeks ‘Muted’ en ‘Meesters der Misdaad’. Ze trad ook op met het strijkersensemble ‘Cordae Lysis’, onder leiding van dirigente Ann Pareyn. Sinds 2022 vertolkt ze de rol van prinses Papagena in de kinderopera ‘De Toverfluit’ van het gezelschap ‘Opera Caramba’. Meer info kan u vinden op sofiedegrande.be.

Their artistic journey also led to the founding of ‘Camiel Producties’, a music theater company that uniquely combines music, theatre, poetry and graphic arts. He remains actively involved in various projects, including the Brussels funk band ‘BBUNG’ who recently released their own album ‘Blooddance’, a fascinating fusion of jazz and funk. Dylan is also the pianist of the intimate jazz trio ‘STAAR’, where guitar, piano and vocals merge in refreshing compositions by Arnout Standaert.
He has also recently recorded several singles with his own jazz quartet, ‘Travel Notes’. His contemporary jazz compositions are a translation of his travels into harmonious and rhythmically challenging pieces. Discover more at dylanmareymusic.be
Sofie Degrande performed with the Luca Chamber Choir during the Belgian Music Days in collaboration with the Atanares ensemble. They performed, among other things, the work ‘Haec Dies’ where she performed the soprano solo.

Sofie worked with the Leuven University Choir as a soloist under conductor Kevin Hendrickx for the concert series ‘Muted’ and ‘Meesters der Misdaad’. She also performed with the string ensemble ‘Cordae Lysis’, led by conductor Ann Pareyn.
