    Victoria Vassilenko werd geboren in Sofia, Bulgarije, en is afgestudeerd aan de National School of Music ‘Lyubomir Pipkov’, in Sofia, bij Antonina Boneva en Stella Dimitrova-Maystorova. Ze is ook afgestudeerd aan de Madrileense Queen Sofía College of Music, bij Dmitri Bashkirov, alsook aan de International Piano Academy Lake of Como (Italië).

    Als soliste en kamermusicus trad ze op in Duitsland, Frankrijk, België, Oostenrijk, de VS, Bulgarije en Spanje. Ze speelde in wereldvermaarde concertzalen, zoals Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Palau de la Música in Barcelona en Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

    Victoria is laureate van talrijke internationale pianowedstrijden, waaronder de James Mottram International Piano Competition (Manchester, VK 2012). Ze kaapte de prijs weg voor ‘The best chamber music group’ en ‘The most successful pianist of the academic year’ (2012, 2015), persoonlijk uitgereikt door Hare Majesteit Koningin Sofía van Spanje. Ze won de Eerste prijs in de internationale Georges Enescu competitie piano in Boekarest.

    Sinds september 2016 is Victoria artist in residence aan de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth, onder de hoede van Louis Lortie.


    Victoria Vassilenko was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and is a graduate of the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov”, in Sofia, with Antonina Boneva and Stella Dimitrova-Maystorova. She is also a graduate of Madrid’s Queen Sofía College of Music, with Dmitri Bashkirov, as well as the International Piano Academy Lake of Como (Italy).

    As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed in Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, the USA, Bulgaria and Spain. She performed in world-renowned concert halls such as Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, ​​and Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

    Victoria is a laureate of numerous international piano competitions, including the James Mottram International Piano Competition (Manchester, UK 2012). She took the prize for “The best chamber music group” and “The most successful pianist of the academic year” (2012, 2015), presented personally by Her Majesty Queen Sofía of Spain. She won First Prize in the international Georges Enescu piano competition in Bucharest.

    Since September 2016, Victoria has been artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, under the care of Louis Lortie.
