Karen Su (USA) behaalde op 13 september 2020 de eerste prijs in de LIPIZER International Violin Competition die plaats vond in Gorizia (Italië). Karen won een bedrag van €10.000, een aantal concerten en bruikleen van een instrument van de “Antonio Stradivari” School of Violin Making.
Karen Su studeerde in Rotterdam bij Vesna en Igor Gruppman en startte in september 2020 als “Artist in Residence” aan de Koningin Elisabeth Muziekkapel in Waterloo.
Karen Su zal in 2021 te horen zijn op het Arte Amanti Festival, nl. op zaterdag 15 mei om 20u in Aalst.

Karen Su (USA) won first prize in the LIPIZER International Violin Competition that took place in Gorizia (Italy) on September 13, 2020. Karen won a sum of € 10,000, a number of concerts and a loan of an instrument from the “Antonio Stradivari” School of Violin Making.
A graduate of the Rotterdam Conservatory, where she studied with Vesna Gruppman and Igor Gruppman, Karen Su will start as an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel this fall.
Karen Su will perform at the 2021 Arte Amanti Festival on Saturday May 15th at 8pm in Aalst.
